Arto Järvelä

Bio

Arto is a fourth-generation member of the colorful Järvelä-family, known for its many talented fiddlers. Besides his extensive solo career, he participates in many Finnish folk music groups, such as JPP, Ampron Prunni, Pinnin Pojat, The Helsinki Mandoliners, Nordik Tree og Erik Hokkanen & Lumisudet. Arto teaches at the Art University of Helsinki. As a sought-after and internationally renowned musician, he has represented Finnish folk culture in more than 40 countries.
