Lost Folk Music Gem Revived After 43 Years!

In June 1981, at the initiative of Frode Nyvold, a group of musicians gathered at a farm in Sauland (Eastern Norway) to record an album of traditional folk music from Agder. After three lively days, the recording was complete, but for reasons now forgotten, the album was never released, and the original tape was lost. Fortunately, a raw mix on cassette survived, and after some modern audio processing, the recordings are finally available on LP and digitally!

Along with Frode, the following were also involved in the recording: Tone Hulbækmo, Hans Fredrik Jacobsen, Ånon Egeland, Leiv Solberg, Øystein Rød, Kari Valen, Per Midtstigen, Sverre Jensen, and Tellef Kvifte, who was also the producer.”
